Unnecessary Surgery – TURP Not Indicated
Our client had urinary symptoms including urgency and bladder fullness. He went to see a urologist who performed a transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). This did not help our client’s problems. He went to see another urologist who accurately diagnosed a stricture of the bladder neck and corrected it. We filed a case against the first urologist for performing an unecessary and very damaging surgery. The case settled with the doctor agreeing to pay for our client’s injuries.
